the art of Drawing and Noticing Pets (exeter college)

Some images from gentle creative workshop organised by the ULA and Exeter College. This session encouraged learners to share stories about how pets bring companionship, joy, and happiness to their lives.

Tutor Maddy Hearn guided learners through the stages required to draw some very lovable guinea pigs and cats. Maddy also encouraged a playful approach to drawing without a pressure to ‘get it right.’ Instead, learners were invited to slow down, draw together, and enjoy the process through talking, listening, and visual expression. The result was a joyful and soothing creative session, with learners describing how freeing and non-judgmental the experience was.
